Transportation from the airport to the City
There are several ways to travel from the airport to the city:
• On a group van it has a cost of USD 7 approximately to downtown Santiago ; and of USD 9 to Las Condes.
• By taxi, USD 19 to downtown Santiago ; USD 27 to Las Condes
• On a private van, USD 29 to downtown Santiago ; USD 32 to Las Condes.
Urban Buses: "Micros"
The oldest buses are yellow; the newest ones are white and green. Both of them indicate their route above the windshield. They circulate all over the city. The urban buses rate is $ 350 ( USD 0.6)
Taxi cabs
Taxis are distinguishable by their black bodies and yellow roofs. All legitimate taxis have registration numbers and taxi meters. The cost of a trip is $150 (US$ 0.25 aprox.) for the first 100 meters and $70 (US$ 0.12 aprox.) during the day and $90 (US$ 0.15 aprox.) at night, for each additional 200 meters . Smoking is prohibited in all public transportation vehicles.
Car Rentals
Most car rentals lease vehicles for hours, days and weeks. Rental prerequisites include: possession of a valid driver's license, over 21 years of age, and submission of credit card for security deposit. Several of the major car rental companies operate in Chile . There are four alternatives: Budget , Hertz , Avis and Alamo .

Buses & Minibuses
This service is offered in different schedules, depending on the alternative you choose.
TurBus www.turbus.com
This bus service is offered from 5.30 a .m. to midnight, every day of the year. Buses are leaving every thirty minutes and the transportation to downtown Santiago costs $1.300 Chilean pesos (US$ 2,47 aprox.). Stopping Places: Corner of Moneda and San Martín Streets, and Metro Stations Los Héroes, Universidad de Santiago, Las Rejas and Pajaritos.
