The Sociedad de Microbiología de Chile, the Sociedad Chilena de Microbiología e Higiene de Alimentos and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Microbiología kindly invite you to the XVIII Latin-American Congress of Microbiology (ALAM 2006), that will be held on October 23th - 26th in Pucón, Chile. This scientific meeting will contact Latin-American microbiologists and well known partners from the rest of the world, to get to know and discuss about new and exciting discoveries in the field, in basic research aspects as well as those related with technological innovation. In addition, the latest developments in public health concerning infectious diseases affecting our countries will be also analyzed. The update in Food Microbiology and Sanitary Management is relevant for the actual development of Latin-American countries, health population, international commerce and the growing food industry. Therefore, appropriate coverage for these issues will be also provided. This scientific meeting expects to gather researchers in Microbiology and people from the Industry and companies related to Microbiology, as well as other people from public and private institutions.
