Transportation from the airport to
the City.
To take any transportation at Santiago Airport,
you can go to the Counters located at the
First Level, Central International Hall,
Domestic Arrivals and International Arrivals.
There
are several ways to travel into the city:
- Rent a car It is opened
from 6.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. every day of
the year. Car Rental costs goes from $22.000
(US$63,7 aprox.). There are four alternatives: Budget, Hertz, Econorent, Rosselot, Avis & Alamo.

- Taxis: It is opened 24 hours a day, every
day of the year. Transportation to downtown
Santiago costs approximately $14,500 Chilean
pesos (US$ 24 aprox.). For your own safety,
it is recommended that you use the official
transport offered by Santiago Airport. (“taxioficial”)
- Buses & Minibuses: This
service is offered in different schedules,
depending on the
alternative you choose.
TurBus: This bus service is offered from
5.30 a.m. to midnight, every day of the year.
Buses are leaving every thirty minutes and
the transportation to downtown Santiago costs
$1.200 Chilean pesos (US$2 aprox.). Stopping
Places: Corner of Moneda and San Martín
Streets, and Metro Stations Los Héroes,
Universidad de Santiago, Las Rejas and Pajaritos.
CentroPuerto: This bus service is offered
from 6.00 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. every day of
the year. Buses leave every ten minutes and
the cost of transportation is $1.000 Chilean
pesos (US$1,7 aprox.). Stopping Places: Estación
Central and Metro Stations Los Héroes,
Universidad de Santiago, Las Rejas and Pajaritos.
TurTransfer:
This transfer service is offered 24 hours
a day, every day of the year. Transfers leave
depending on the flights time of arrival and
reservations must be made one day before arrival.
Transportation to downtown Santiago costs
$3.800 (US$6,3 aprox.) per person.

This transfer service is offered 24 hours
a day, every day of the year. Transfers leave
depending on the flights time of arrival and
reservations must be made minimum 6 hours
before arrival. Transportation to downtown
Santiago costs $3.400 (US$5,7 aprox.) per
person.

Subway: "Metro"
The Metro is one of the most modern subway
systems in Latin America. You can travel along
the city in this subway system.
Metro service runs from 6:30 AM until 10 PM
during weekdays and Saturdays, and from 8:30
AM until 10:30 PM on Sundays and holidays.
The Metro costs $400 during rush hours and
$310 at other times, depending on the time
of day. They don’t accept dollars, only
chilean currency.
City Buses: "Micros"
These buses are yellow with black numbers
on their right sides and front windshields
to indicate their routes. They run throughout
the city. The cost of a trip is $320. Successful
bus rides require some knowledge of the city.
Intercity Buses: There are
several companies which offer bus service
to all cities throughout the country.
Buses to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar
leave every 15 minutes from Santiago. Bus
service is quite nice and schedules are dependable.
